Today we had a great day not without challenges but all the same successful indeed. Jacinta n Fransisca and Paul n myself were the only Clean Mombasa CBO members present! We appreciate our member Jacinta for coming all da way from Mariakani to join da group. We had bank members about 10 from Access Bank , led by their manager Madam Fawzia Kamto ( our CBO member) together with 3 members from Rotary and Rotaract. The sponsors bought water and 1000 seedlings for the service ( 50000.00 bov ) this money went to the local cbothat has a Mangrove nursery on site. They were over 30 members who joined us and did a marvellous job. We were also joined by Kenya forest Rangers led by madam Rebecca who worked with us and gave a small talk on Mangrove!
And lo n behold the day ended with over 1000 mangroves planted. Indeed I thanked everyone n requested them to join our CBO !
It was an excellent day…but we really missed u guys though we had some apologies…
